First destination: Gouda (yes yes, the city famous with it's cheese).
We sighsaw the longest church in The Netherlands (123 m), called St John's church (St. Janskerk).
There are plenty of stained glass windows, called "Gouda Windows", depicting scenes from biblical and national history.
In the floor of the church many people were burried in previous ages, last burial took place in 1832. It was strange feeling to walk on the graves.
There is a museum, called "museumgoud" right next to the church.
Astonishing thing was found by us on the wall:
(we don't agree with more than half of these statements)
Lots of nice objects were inside, we were watching them accompanied by nice american music, from 40-50's (maybe?)
In the museum's yard there was charming cafeteria.
Suddenly, black cat joined us, crossing our way several times (but it was nohow unlucky for us ). It really wanted to have photos with us.
In the end we went to market taking place in the city centre. We bought some cheese of course :)
After 2 hours of sightseeing and walking we went to the station and catched the train to Rotterdam. On our way we saw really weird object - the bridge for the river.
We had a map from Noelia (Spanish girl who was there before with her friends), with all the most important objects marked on it. We decided to follow the route enabling us to see as many buildings as it was possible.
First stop was on the little wooden bridge.
One of funny buildings, don't really remember what is it's function.
Museumpark - one of the sculptures
Golden Tulip Hotel and traffic sign ;)
BMW !!! COuld've given it to me... ;(
Our way back home was a little bit stressing, cause in the train there was not much space for our bikes and people instead of taking the seat, were taking place which we could've used for our bikes.. And conductor was very rude in the beggining, later his attitude was more friendly (Meredith said, that maybe after he spend some time with his thoughts he realized that he behaved like an asshole ;])
MISSION Rotterdam: Accomplished ;]
