B-DAY PARTY in cafe Piecken / Hoogeveldt

First of all - WELCOME JORDI !!! Jordi (Mariona's Bro) and Mariona were the first people I met in Lent. Jordi came here in August with Mariona and spent few days in Nijmegen. We all remembered him ("cheeky boy"!) and were waiting for his next visit. And here He is - Jordi came on thursday for couple of days. Hope He will enjoy :)

Friday was a very nice day.

Just when I got back home from uni I found marvelous boquet of pink roses on the table - THANK YOU LISA !!! Xxx
Long time ago I planned a birthday party with girls, who also have birthday on 10th of December (3 girls - it's amazing, because I've never met anyone who has got birthday on the same day what me). Ruairi joined us, although he is not erasmus he hangs out with erasmus people.

First photo: Monika and me, second: (from left) Mahal (Spain), me, Monika (Poland) and Joana (Majorca)
We didn't have to pay anything for renting the cafe - the owners had opportunity to earn extra money, so the more people the better for them - they even did the cleaning after party.

Monika and me bought pink wigs one week ago and we all had tiaras. Ruairi decided to have a wig too - he looked great ! :D

Joana, Me, Monika, Mahal and Ruairi on the top (all girls born on 10th of december !!!)

Party started at 9. for us - others came much later, around midnight it was really crowded.
We had small accident last night. Monica had all the birthday cakes in her room. Unfortunately she ost her keys, so there was no way to get to her room (nobody has seond key). The only reasonable (at that moment..) solution, was simply to break in. And so we did. Ruairi is really good kicker :D

yeah, remember don't tell dutch people to write anything in polish on your bday cake, they just don't get anything correctly. ;)

Well, we got the cakes, but the door is damaged. Hopefully Monica won't have any serious problems :( The worst in this story is that the keys were finally found (in the plastic bag with food... who would've thought it was there... :?/). Cakes were very good and well done!

Next year... repetition?

jak ja lubię obserwowac ludzi...

Siedze nad praca semestralna w pracowni komputerowej.
Chlopak na przeciwko prowadzac konwersacje z kolegami wlasnie pare sekund temu najpierw dłubał w nosie, następnie owa zdobycz spozył.

I to nie pierwszy raz widze cos takiego. Co najmniej dwunasty.
Ohyda!

BERLIN !!!!!!

Pass Auf Berlin - WIR SIND HIER !!!!!
Small Zuzia In the Big city of the Big Bears on The Streets and In the Middle of The City !!!!!!!!!!

Berlin is the part of the course "Society and Space"

On Thursday, 23rd of Nov. we woke up very early (I slept only for 3 hours), at 4am.
Due to some accident in Arnhem on the day before we had to take some longer way to Deventer (or something like that..). We were in Berlin about 2-3pm.
The hostel was very nice - in the restored old factory. It's called DIE FABRIK.
Anna and me shared a room with two nice dutch girls - Anniek and Roos.

Some works hard some are couch potatoes...;]

Yep! It was real factory before...

Anna and graffiti (didn't know that She's so talented ;D )

On thursday the weather wasn't too favourable. It was raining (for change:P).
Our teacher, Barbara Hooper (She's from L.A.) was our guide on the first day - she wanted to show us some parts of Berlin. She explained us some things bout Alexanderplatz,
then we were walking and walking in the rain, few times it turned out, that we took a wrong direction (I mean, Barbara took :P) and about 5pm we decided to finish that circus and we went to some bar.

On our way we've seen the World Clock: The bar we entered turned out to be a traditional Berliner bar.
We ate delicious german meals, having nice time with great company. Barbara was talking to us about everything. She's very nice and sometimes funny - she's amazed to everything what she sees. For example: it was raining, Barbara was walking with the maps in her hand.. suddenly she was very surprised, that all the papers are wet :
Or in the bar, I was taing photos with a flesh, Barbara suddenly asked: "Hey, people, where is this light coming from??" :DDD
She's cuuuute !!!!!

From the left: Anna, me, Barbara

The whole group: in front of Barbara - Vincent (from RU, helper), on his left - Tim(from Germany), The Dutch in the background.

Ok ok, on the next day the real drudgery begun!
We took lots of photos of the buildings in Berlin.
Let's have a look at some of them:

On friday night we went to some bar, which turned out to be some kind of coffie shop. We bought water pipe, with shisha inside (what the hell is that? Smelled like Mango, I tried it, but wasn't too delicious... what do people smoke it for????).

On Saturday we went to see REICHSTAG (Thanks to TIM !!!). It was INCREDIBLE !
We've been explained what all the buildings are by guide.

I've seen Brandenburgen Tor (1st time in my life, although I've been in Berlin twice... embarassing..I know ;]) .
We were wandering with Anna and taking photos. SOme of them below:

On saturday night (as the last one) we wanted to go somewhere for longer. But we could find anything. FInally, we split into two groups and went to some pub with dancefloor... Unfortunately it turned out inside, that it's Russian night !!! The music was horrible. We were some kind of attraction for germans, they could try their english with us ;)

On sunday we went with Anna to western part of Berlin, which I remembered from last year. It was very nice. We had some small sweet lunch in Kamps cafe.

Afterwards we went to climb Column of Victory which stands on the vast platz, Love Parade anually takes place right there. The view from top was astonishing !!!

Way back was nice, although we couldn't sleep too much.

Berlin was very nice but much more dangerous than Netherlands and much more cheap than Netherlands. It's weird, but I didn't want to go back to Lent. I rather wanted to go to Poland..Maybe because tough period is beginning? Exams..papers.. ehhh...

MISSION BERLIN: accomplished :D
