However, although it is a city much smaller (8th largest in Australia) and less life-boosting than Sydney, Canberra is still worth seeing - in some sense this planned city, being an entirely purpose-built is a world's phenomenon (just like Brasilia).
The construction of Canberra began in 1918, base on the project of Chicago Architects - Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin. "The city's design was heavily influenced by the garden city movement and incorporates significant areas of natural vegetation that have earned Canberra the title "bush capital"."
